Termites are hidden, industrious, and always destructive. Long Point Pest Control has been helping clients with termite control in Houston for decades using safe, effective, and long-lasting solutions.
Termite Treatment & WDI Reports for Your Home or Business
Once you request an estimate for termite control, an experienced inspector will visit your home or business to assess the situation and determine the best treatment method for you. Our inspectors each have a minimum of 20 years experience in identifying and treating termites for homes and businesses.
Next, you will get a professional plan and bid for the most effective way to treat your home or business for termites and protect against future infestations.
This bid is free of charge for all slab-foundation homes in the Houston area. Houses with a crawl space foundation should expect a small charge for the bid process because of the additional time and work required to properly assess the termite-affected areas and damage.

About Termites in Houston
Approximately 10 percent of an estimated 4,000 species of termite can cause serious structural damage to buildings. Of the many groupings, subterranean, drywood, and Formosan termites are primarily responsible for most damage to homes and businesses in the Houston area.
Termites live in colonies that, at maturity, number from several hundred to several million individuals. They all eat cellulose in its various forms as plant fiber, peat, or wood. Termites are especially suited for the digestion of wood as there is a low competition for wood as a food source, yet wood cellulose is rich with energy (as demonstrated by the amount of energy released when wood is burned).
When Damage Become Visible…
Subterranean (the most destructive) and drywood termites can do great damage to unprotected buildings and other wooden structures due to the quiet and hidden nature of the pests. Their habit of remaining concealed often results in their presence going undetected until the structure is severely damaged and exhibits surface changes. Affected wood can resemble a solid beam but will easily crush under the pressure of a soft touch. Once termites have entered a building, they do not limit themselves to wood; they will also damage any other cellulosic materials such as carpets, paper, and cloth.
Repairs from termite damage can easily run into the thousands of dollars. Additionally, termite damage affects the resell value of your home because damage and repairs must be reported on the Seller’s Disclosure statements upon selling your home, which may discourage potential buyers who fear unseen damage.
Termites Need Water Too
Termites are especially attracted to wood near any water source. Homes that are located near a body of water are highly susceptible to termite infestation. Similarly, they are usually found where the plumbing interacts with the foundation and internal wall areas.
Termite Treatment Warranty
We provide a one year warranty after the initial termite treatment. You will receive a warranty update reminder each year (for 10 years, the life of the Termidor treatment). Upon your renewal each year, we will re-inspect your home and property and spot treat suspect areas, if they exist.
